You have the option to access to at least two public Metaverse spaces:

  1. "Mext B2B Metaverse Expo" Beta testing Metaverse: Visit https://mext.app/exhibition/51 and click on "Join Metaverse" to enter. If you haven't registered yet, the system will prompt you to register before gaining access.
  2. "Metaverse Fashion Council": Access the Metaverse space by going to https://mext.app/exhibition/62 and clicking on "Join Metaverse." Similar to the previous option, if you are not registered, you will be asked to register first before entering.

Do I need to download or install any software?​

NO. It is web browser access.

Do you have a mobile APP?​

Yes, we offer a mobile app called Mext Metaverse for both Android and iOS devices.

Mext offers a seamless cross-platform experience, allowing you to access the metaverse through different platforms based on your preferences and needs. Here's a breakdown of the available platforms and their unique features:

  1. Web Browser: Accessing Mext through a web browser is quick and easy. With just a click of a link, you can jump into the metaverse directly from your computer. This platform offers convenience and accessibility since you don't need to install any additional software or apps.   2. Mobile Devices: Mext is also compatible with mobile devices, including smartphones and tablets. By downloading the Mext mobile app, you can join the metaverse on-the-go.   3. Virtual Reality (VR): For a fully immersive and captivating experience, Mext supports Virtual Reality (VR). By utilizing MetaQuest VR headsets and controllers, you can enter a virtual world where you can interact with avatars, explore virtual environments, and engage in immersive activities. VR offers a heightened sense of presence and interactivity, appealing to users who seek a more immersive and realistic metaverse experience. To access through VR: The Mext Metaverse platform primarily operates in VR, but when we introduce new features, they are typically released first on desktop, followed by mobile, and eventually on VR. Mext undergoes testing exclusively on the MetaQuest hardware line. To access Mext, utilize the MetaQuest (Oculus) Browser application, visit mext.app, log in, enter the Metaverse, and then expand it to VR mode by clicking on the VR button located at the bottom right corner. Mext is not compatible with Google Cardboard. Move around within the Metaverse by using the joystick on your device for teleportation. While not every feature is accessible in VR mode, we suggest setting up and performing complex editing tasks using the Mext Metaverse on desktop. However, for meetings or events, VR is recommended if you prefer an immersive experience.

Remember, Mext ensures cross-platform compatibility, allowing you to seamlessly switch between platforms based on your needs and the available devices at your disposal.

How to translate Mext UI?​

To change the language on the Mext platform, simply navigate to the footer section of the home page. You'll find a language selection option located there. Click on it, and a dropdown menu will appear, presenting you with a range of available languages. Choose the language that you prefer, and the platform will automatically update to display the content in your selected language. It's a quick and easy way to personalize your experience and ensure seamless communication on the Mext platform.

What internet speed I need?​

A stable network connection is crucial for seamless performance within the Metaverse. Consider the following network recommendations:

  • Download speed: Minimum of 10 Mbps (Megabits per second)

How to access to a Metaverse?​

Accessing private and public Metaverse spaces is simple:

  1. For private Metaverse spaces, you will receive a specific link from the Metaverse organizer. Use this link to access and explore the private Metaverse.
  2. For public Metaverse spaces, you have two options. Firstly, you can visit the Mext website at https://mext.app/ and navigate to the desired Metaverse space. Alternatively, the Metaverse organizer may provide you with a direct link to access the public Metaverse space.

How to register on the platform?​

To register for the Mext B2B Metaverse platform, it is very easy and in few clicks. Please follow these simple steps:

  1. Access the registration page at https://mext.app/exhibition/51/register.
  2. Fill out the registration form with the required information.
  3. Once you've completed the form, click on the validation link sent to the email address you provided during registration. If you don't receive the validation email, please check your spam folder.
  4. If you encounter any issues or have further inquiries, feel free to contact us at contact@mext.app.

Why cannot I join the Metaverse?​

If you're experiencing difficulty joining the Metaverse despite having a good internet connection and a capable laptop, it may be due to network settings or corporate firewalls. Here's what you can do:

  1. Adjust your network settings: If you have the ability to adjust your network settings, you can follow the instructions provided at [Link] to make the necessary adjustments. These settings can help resolve any connectivity issues and allow you to successfully join the Metaverse.
  2. Contact your company IT: If you're using a professional laptop and don't have the freedom to adjust your network settings, it's recommended to reach out to your company's IT department. They can assist you in troubleshooting and configuring your network to ensure compatibility with the Metaverse. By taking these steps, you can address any network-related issues that may be preventing you from joining the Metaverse.

Your profile​

How to access to your profile?​

You have two options to access your profile, whether you're inside or outside the Metaverse. If you're outside, just visit the Mext website at https://mext.app, then click on "Account & Access" in the top menu and select "My Profile." If you're inside the Metaverse, click on your picture located in the top right corner of the Metaverse menu to access your profile.

When accessing your profile, you will have various options to manage your account and settings:

  • Edit your profile: Update and modify your personal information, company information and matchmaking information.
  • Check your notifications: View any new messages, updates, or important announcements related to your account or activities.
  • Check your agenda: Review your schedule, upcoming events, meetings, or any other appointments you have within the Metaverse.
  • Change your avatar: Customize your virtual representation by selecting or uploading a new avatar look that reflects your identity.
  • Change your settings: Adjust and personalize various platform settings, such as privacy preferences, notification preferences, language settings, and more.

How to complete your profile?​

When accessing your profile form you can easily update and modify the information that needs to be changed. Simply make the necessary edits, ensuring accuracy and completeness, and then validate or save the changes.

How to access to my agenda?​

When you access your profile, navigate to the menu on the left-hand side and click on "Agenda". This will direct you to your personalized agenda, where you can view and manage your scheduled events, appointments, and activities.

How to access to my notifications?​

When you access your profile, simply navigate to the menu on the left-hand side and click on "Notifications". This will take you to the notifications section, where you can stay updated with the latest updates, announcements, and messages.

How to create an avatar?​

When accessing the Metaverse for the first time, you will be prompted to create your avatar by following the instructions provided. If you happen to miss this step, don't worry, you can still create your avatar by accessing your profile. Simply navigate to the menu on the left-hand side of your profile and click on "Avatar". In the avatar section, you will find the option to create your avatar and customize it to your liking. Take the opportunity to bring your virtual self to life and make a unique presence in the Metaverse.

How to change my avatar?​

When you access your profile, navigate to the menu on the left-hand side and click on "Avatar". In the avatar section, you have the option to update your avatar by either taking a new picture to create a brand new one or simply change your look and style.

How to manage my profile settings?​

When you access your profile, navigate to the menu on the left-hand side and click on "Settings". You can then manage notifications preferences: visibility and settings of emails preference.

Can I call someone in the Metaverse and he is off, will he get a notification to call me back?​

When individuals are unavailable and unable to answer your call, it is advisable to leave them a message instead of persistently attempting to reach them. By leaving a message, you can inform them of your attempt to contact them and kindly request that they return your call at their earliest convenience.

What is the difference between a stand and Metaverse?​

A Metaverse is an immersive and interactive 3D virtual environment that is created and managed by a Metaverse builder and organizer. Within the Metaverse, stands serve as dedicated spaces for partners to promote their products and services. These stands are strategically allocated by the Metaverse organizer and are commonly used in Metaverse Expos and trade fair scenarios.

The purpose of a stand is to provide partners with a designated area where they can showcase their offerings to a virtual audience. Similar to physical booths in traditional expos, stands in the Metaverse act as promotional spaces for partners to engage with visitors, present their products or services, and foster connections and business opportunities.

Is the Metaverse platform compatible with my device?​

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable user experience on the Mext Metaverse platform, it is important to assess whether your laptop meets the minimum resource requirements, even though the platform has been optimized and does not heavily rely on game resources. The platform operates within a 3D environment, necessitating adequate hardware resources.

To determine if your device is compatible with the Metaverse, it is essential to verify the following factors:

Minimum hardware requirements:

  • Processor: Intel i5 or AMD Ryzen 5, with a clock speed of 2.5 GHz or higher
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM or an equivalent configuration
  • Graphics: Integrated graphics card with UHD capability, preferably supplemented with a dedicated graphics card from Nvidia or AMD.

Events​

How do I attend an event in the Metaverse?​

For public events, simply access the Metaverse at the designated time slot where the event is being held. It is advisable to register on the event page to receive important notifications and updates. In the case of private events, you will need to request the link to access the Metaverse and/or event from the Metaverse organizer. By following these steps, you can ensure seamless access to both public and private events in the Metaverse.

How can I network during the events?​

Depending on the type of event you are attending, here's how you can engage with speakers, exhibitors, and other attendees:

For Livestream Events :

  • During the livestream event, you can interact with speakers by asking questions in the event chat or through designated Q\&A sessions. Engage in discussions, share your thoughts, and seek insights from the speakers.
  • Visit exhibitor stands to explore their offerings, engage in product demonstrations, and connect with representatives to discuss potential collaborations or partnerships.
  • Network with other attendees by utilizing the attendees chat feature. You can view the list of attendees and prioritize connecting with those whose profiles align with your interests. Add them to your network, and from there, you can communicate via audio/video calls, messages, or even send meeting requests. If the person is present in the metaverse, you can teleport your avatar close to theirs to interact in a more immersive manner.

For Open Networking Events :

  • Take advantage of the open networking format to introduce yourself to other participants. Engage in Avatars conversations, exchange contact information, and explore potential synergies or business opportunities.
  • Utilize the attendees chat to connect with individuals of interest, add them to your network, and contact them.

For Speed Networking Events:

  • Follow the event's designated speed dating format, where you'll be assigned a series of brief one-on-one meetings with other participants.
  • Engage in focused conversations during each meeting and utilize the given time to exchange information, explore common interests, and assess potential connections.
  • Make the most of the allocated breaks between meetings to gather your thoughts, prepare for the next interaction, or engage in casual networking with other participants.

Remember, each event may have specific guidelines and features to facilitate networking and engagement. Familiarize yourself with the event details and platform functionalities to make the most out of your participation.

How can I participate to an Open Networking event?​

Open networking sessions, organized by the Metaverse organizer, provide opportunities for avatars to gather and interact. These sessions can be either private or public events. Here's how you can participate and make the most from these sessions:

For Public Open Networking Events:

  • Simply enter the Metaverse and join the Networking Center. You'll have access to the designated area where participants can connect, engage in conversations, and explore potential collaborations or partnerships.

For Private Open Networking Events:

  • If you are part of a private open networking event, the organizer will provide you with a specific link to access the event. Follow the instructions and use the provided link to join the networking session.

During these open networking sessions, you can introduce yourself to other participants, interact with their avatars, and engage in meaningful conversations. Take the opportunity to exchange contact information, discuss shared interests, and explore potential business connections.

Remember to be respectful and follow guidelines or rules set by the Metaverse organizer for a positive and productive networking experience.

How can I participate to Speed Networking session?​

The speed Networking sessions are organized by the Metaverse organizer. Make sure to contact the organizer and register the session you wish to join at least 48 hours before the event.

Then you will receive, 48hours before the session, a personalized schedule of participants you will meet during the speed networking sessions, along with designated time slots.

On the day of the event, kindly join the Metaverse where the event will be held at least 5 minutes before your first one-on-one meeting.

During the speed networking sessions, each participant is assigned a schedule to meet with 9 different individuals. These interactions are organized into 7-minute one-on-one sessions, followed by a refreshing 3-minute break before your next meeting. As you enter the Metaverse, you will be swiftly transported to our dedicated Networking Center. When it's time for your first meeting, our teleportation system will seamlessly transfer you to the designated meeting room, where you can engage in a focused 7-minute conversation. After each session concludes, you will smoothly return to the Networking Center for a brief 3-minute intermission before proceeding to your next meeting.

By simply accessing the Metaverse, our teleportation system will efficiently manage your Speed Networking schedule, ensuring a streamlined and productive experience.

How to organize my event in the Metaverse?​

To host an event in the Metaverse, you have two options: you can either contact a Metaverse organizer to discuss hosting your event in an existing Metaverse, or you can create your own Metaverse to have complete control and customization over the space. Hosting your event in an existing Metaverse allows you to leverage the existing Metaverse community and infrastructure, while setting up your own Metaverse provides you with the flexibility to personalize the space according to your specific event needs. To begin organizing your event, simply send an email to contact@mext.app and our team will assist you in getting started.

Speakers​

How do I log in to live session room as a speaker?​

To join a live session room as a speaker, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to your account https://mext.app and access to the Metaverse platform.
  2. Once you're inside the Metaverse, locate the top menu on your screen.
  3. Click on the "GO TO" button in the top menu.
  4. From the dropdown menu, select "Meeting/Speakers Stage".
  5. You will be presented with a list of your scheduled meetings. Look for the meeting with the same name for the event or stage you're speaking at.
  6. Click on the "Join" button next to the meeting to enter the speaker stage.

By following these steps, you will be able to seamlessly join the designated speaker stage and participate in the live session.

How to participate at events as a speaker?​

To participate as a speaker, you have two options:

  1. If the event page provides an option to apply as a speaker, simply access the event page and follow the instructions to submit your application. Make sure to provide all the necessary information and details requested.
  2. If there is no option to apply as a speaker on the event page, you can directly contact the Metaverse organizer or event coordinator. Reach out to them via email or any other provided contact information and express your interest in speaking at the event. They will guide you through the process and provide further instructions on how to proceed.

By utilizing either of these options, you can take the necessary steps to apply and potentially secure a speaking opportunity at the event.

Replays/VOD​

Where can I access previous Metaverse event presentations?​

To access event replays and related content in the Metaverse, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the Metaverse where the event took place.
  2. Click on the "GO TO" button located in the top menu.
  3. From the dropdown menu, select "VOD/Replays."
  4. You will be directed to the VOD/Replays page, where you can find a collection of event replays.
  5. Browse through the available replays and choose the one you're interested in.
  6. You can watch the replay directly on the platform or choose to download it for offline viewing.
  7. If the speaker has made their presentation available, you may also have the option to download it in PDF format for further reference.
  8. If you have any questions for the speakers, you can use the "Questions" button to submit your queries

Who should I contact when I have issues inside the Metaverse?​

When you find yourself inside the Metaverse and need assistance or have questions, there are multiple options available to you:

  1. FAQ and Feedback/Support: To access the FAQ section and seek answers to commonly asked questions, simply click on the "Feedback/Support" button located in the top menu of the Metaverse. There, you'll find a dedicated FAQ section where you can browse through a collection of frequently asked questions and their corresponding answers. If your question isn't covered in the FAQ, you can also submit your query or provide feedback through the "Feedback" option.
  2. Chat Bubble: To engage in real-time communication and ask your questions directly, look for the chat bubble icon located in the bottom right corner of the screen. Click on the chat bubble, and a chat interface will open up where you can initiate a conversation and interact with the support team or organizers.
  3. Help Desk: In some cases, the organizers may have set up a dedicated help desk stand within the Metaverse. To locate the help desk, you can access the "Exhibitors Directory" button in the Metaverse's top menu. From there, you can browse through the directory to find the help desk stand, which will provide you with further assistance and support.

By utilizing these options, including the FAQ, feedback/support, chat bubble, and help desk, you can easily access the information and assistance you need while navigating and exploring the Metaverse environment.

How to move in the Metaverse?​

To navigate within the Metaverse, you have multiple options at your disposal, offering flexibility and convenience. Here are the different methods you can use to move around:

  1. Avatar Navigation: You can control your avatar's movement using your mouse and keyboard. Simply use the mouse to rotate the camera and change your view, while using the keyboard to walk or run in any direction within the Metaverse. This method provides a more immersive experience as you explore the virtual environment.
  2. Teleportation: The "Go To" button located on the top menu offers a quick and efficient way to teleport yourself to specific zones and halls within the Metaverse. By selecting a destination from the available options, you will instantly be transported to the desired location, saving you time and effort.
  3. Exhibitors Directory: To directly access a specific exhibitor's stand, you can use the "Exhibitors Directory" button within the Metaverse. Simply enter the name of the exhibitor you are looking for, and with a click, you will be teleported directly to their stand, allowing you to explore their offerings and engage with them.
  4. Metaverse Map: The "Map" button, located on the top right corner, provides you with a top-down view of the entire Metaverse. By sliding your mouse over the map, you can identify different locations and booths. If you find a location you wish to visit, simply click on it, and you will be instantly teleported to that specific spot within the Metaverse.

These navigation options give you the freedom to choose the method that suits your preferences and allows you to effortlessly move around the Metaverse, whether it's exploring different areas, visiting specific exhibitor stands, or accessing various zones and halls.

How to navigate with my avatar?​

To optimize your navigation in the metaverse, we highly recommend utilizing a mouse. There are two primary methods for maneuvering within this virtual realm: controlling your avatar and manipulating the camera.

To control your avatar, you can utilize the keyboard with the arrow keys or the WASD keys (for a QWERTY keyboard layout). These keys allow you to move your avatar in four directions: straight ahead, backward, left, and right. Notably, the avatar's direction of view remains constant during movement.

Alternatively, you can control the camera by employing the left click of your mouse. By clicking and holding the button while dragging the mouse, you can pivot the camera around your avatar. This action enables you to view your surroundings from different perspectives, including in front of and behind you, as well as upward and downward. Releasing the click halts the pivoting motion of the camera.

How to navigate with my desktop?​

To navigate within the Metaverse, you have two main options. Firstly, you can control your avatar's movement and explore the environment by walking using the controls provided. Alternatively, you can utilize the menu options available at the top of the screen for quick teleportation.

The "Go to" button allows you to instantly teleport to different zones, scenes like halls within the Metaverse. This enables you to easily navigate between various areas and access VOD/Replays, or even initiate and answer to call for partnership. If you are specifically looking for a particular stand, you can use the "Exhibitors Directory" button. This directory provides a convenient way to search for and teleport directly to any stand in the Metaverse, saving you time and effort. For a broader view and better orientation, you can click on the "Map" button located at the top right corner of the screen. This will provide you with an overhead view of the Metaverse, and as you move your mouse over the map, you will see the names of different locations, including stands. By clicking on a specific location on the map, you can instantly teleport yourself to that desired destination.

How to navigate with Mext Metaverse APP?​

When you click on the APP, you have immediately the list of all the public Metaverses and the one that you invited to access and related events. First you have the Metaverses, you need to scroll down to access to events.

When you click on a Metaverse you access to

  • Metaverse description
  • Apply as “Exhibitor” button to apply to be part of the Metaverse’s Exhibitors
  • Apply as “Visitor” to register to be able to enter the Metaverse and be part of the community.
  • Then “join Metaverse” button to join the Metaverse

When clicking on “join Metaverse” button, you open a new menu with

  • “Participants” button to get the list of the participants (members of the Metaverse)
  • When you click on a participant, you have access to his/her profile
  • If you are interested to connect with the participant, just click on “added to My Network”

When clicking on “Exhibitors Directory” button, you have access to

  • With search you can find a booth with company name
  • The list of the “Halls”, you keep all halls or select a hall through the scrolling list.
  • when you click on a stand , you access to:
    • Description of the company
    • “Document” button to download documents
    • “Stand” button to access to the stand

When clicking on “Live session” button,

  • You access to the list of channels
  • when you click on the channel, you access to live session.

When clicking on the “Replays” button,

  • You access to the list of the replays
  • You can scroll down the list or search by key word, name of speaker or company
  • Click on the replay video that you want to watch to watch the video.

When clicking on Chat

  • You have access to the list of your Network attendees (people that you have already added from attendees list or that attendees that added you to their Network list)
  • You can start chat and communication with them

The Mext platform aims to strike a balance between accommodating a substantial number of avatars while maintaining optimal performance and ensuring a seamless experience for all participants.

In the case of the Mext platform, the configuration is set to allow a maximum of 50 avatars per scene or space. This limitation is in place to ensure that the platform can handle the interactions and activities of all participants effectively. However, even if the number of visible avatars is restricted, you still have the flexibility to connect and interact with other avatars by teleporting to them.

To teleport to other avatars, you can navigate to the sidebar and access the attendees list. There, you will see a list of attendees who are currently online, indicated by a green dot. If an attendee is within your network, you will notice a teleport sign next to their profile. By clicking on the teleport sign, you can instantly join them in their location within the Metaverse.

To add an attendee to your network, simply click on the "+" symbol on their profile. This establishes a connection between you and allows for easier teleportation and communication.

Mext recognizes and respects others Intellectual Property Rights. Mext collects solely the required data, allowing to provide a high level of services. The data protection policies are defined in the General Conditions of Use. MEXT promotes B2B (Business-to-business) relationships between organizations and technology companies around the world for their service and therefore intends to be fully transparent regarding the nature of the data collected. Data collected can be split in three categories :

  • As part of its services to bring organizations and companies closer together, MEXT collects in an automated way public information with administrative or technical character.
  • It is possible that your company/organization publishes some content that includes information about them or their products and services (e.g. articles, posts, comments, datasheet, posters or video, in the context of virtual exhibitions or events organized in virtual exhibitions).
  • Information provided by third parties: Third parties may eventually publish some content mentioning your business or organization.

Mext complies with GDPR, and provide the capabilities to have those information updated, corrected or deleted.

When creating a user account and using MEXT's services, the following data may be collected and processed:

  • user account information: ID, password, surname, first name, email, user privileges (visitor, organization representative, administrator…
  • user profile information: surname, first name, email, link to Linkedin profile, photography, country, company/organization, rôoe in organization, matters of interest, keywords
  • speakers pictures and videos at virtual exhibitions; professional or personal physical address
  • Data of connection: time, IP address, ISP, proxys, referrer, device Type and Operating System, resolution.
  • Messages and files exchanged by chat
  • Agenda of visitors and exhibitors inside the virtual exhibitions
  • Data obtained through the use of our services and technical data

How Mext is protecting my data?​

Mext is implementing an adequate and state-of-the-art level of protection, in concordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements. All communications in between the user computers and Mext servers are performed trough encrypted https connection. Internally on the Mext servers, the data collected is stored in a secure environment. To ensure the security and maintain the privacy of data, Mext has implemented and continuously maintain a wide panel of controls, among them:

  • Strict data and resources access management for Mext employees and for external users
  • Strength of passwords associated with each identifier.
  • Secured communications
  • Sensible server data at rest protection
